Styrofoam concrete — insulation and levelling in one
Styrofoam concrete is a mix of cement and polystyrene or expanded clay granulate. It provides excellent thermal and acoustic insulation at a weight several times lower than traditional concrete — ideal for slabs with limited load capacity.
We use styrofoam concrete as a levelling and insulating underlay before the final screed or underfloor heating. One material replaces several layers of traditional construction.
